YUCO'S VEGA BODEGAS ADDS TO THE TRAIN OF THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION THROUGH THE 'CONNECTED INDUSTRY 4.0' PROJECT OF THE MINISTERY OF INDUSTRY, TRADE AND TOURISM

The only Canarian industry that will be part of this program co-financed by the EOI Foundation, through the Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Government of the Canary Islands.

Bodegas Vega de Yuco has been selected as the only industry in the Canary Islands to be part of the "Connected Industry 4.0" program of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. Through this project of the General Secretariat for Industry and SMEs and the Autonomous Communities, they intend to promote the digital transformation of companies with the aim, among others, of increasing industrial added value and qualified employment.

This so-called "fourth industrial revolution", linked to the digital transformation that is being implemented in different areas of development on the island of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, is now also reaching the wine and winery sector, specifically Bodegas Vega de Yuco. Within the framework of this Ministry project, you will receive specialized and individualized advice for the implementation of a Digital Transformation Plan linked to some production processes, the application of ICT, connectivity, cybersecurity, robotics, automation or the so-called logistics 4.0, among others.

In short, without losing the traditional production systems that characterize the identity of this Canarian winery, thanks to this program, Bodegas Vega de Yuco joins the train of digital transformation in order to introduce and apply in its management and work systems the benefits of digital technology, as well as its application in customer relations, in order to improve the quality of services and production systems applied to the wine sector on the island of Lanzarote.
